Pretty cool game, kinda relives the spirit of early platformers. It looks good and plays well. However, I do think it's a bit too easy currently to just skip everything, go for the star and then take the shortest route to the flag. I came up until the 3rd boss, the 1st was easy, the 2nd took a bit of time to figure out the best strategy and the 3rd one seems way harder. But all in all, pretty enjoyable game!
Just finished boss 3! It took more time to figure out the best strategy and it's still not super easy, but I think now it's a nice challenge instead of being too hard.
Nice, killed him! Sort of a repeating pattern of boss 3. My first encounter I got frustrated and now, a few hours later I tried it and found the right timing. I like how this one took a slightly more difficult strategy and more 'agility' to kill. I think this might even be good for the lowest difficulty for a boss, although if you're planning on making more worlds, with each boss getting more difficult, the increase in difficulty might actually be good.
Thanks for your feedback! Our intention was to let the player choose if they wanted to fight or not. We are going to add a kill count to reward players that prefer fighting the normal enemies. We are also planning to add some achievements for replayability. We're really glad you like our game!
Ok clear, but still, if I just hop around the platforms towards the flag, it still feels too easy and too much as a shortcut. I'd make the route through the levels itself more challenging as well.
We'll try to improve the levels. Unfortunately, we won't be able to change many things since this game is an entry for a jam and we can't update it once voting starts. Thank you for your feedback!
